I Timothy 2:

2For kings, and [for] all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

I’m Back….

Well, it has been what seems like forever since I put out a post on this blog. Work, family responsibility, and those endless cycle of distractions we deal with in this thing we call life, cause us to sometimes miss doing those things we “want” to do and use all our time doing those things that we “have” to do! Nonetheless here is another post. I cannot promise how long it will be before the next one, but here goes. I guess it takes a little inspiration to get the creative juices flowing and to get those words pouring out like they do sometimes!

Today is a special day of remembrance. On this day in 2001, our way of life was changed forever. On this day several years ago our nation came under attack from parties and powers outside our nation bent on destroying our way of life and placing us under the curse of a religion of death, destruction, and hatred. How can I say that about a religion? Well all you have to do is to look at the deeds that have been perpetrated on this nation and other nations around the world in the name of that religion. Thousands of innocent people died in the attack on 9-11-01, and the many others that have followed. For years after the initial attacks people lived in fear of even opening a letter in the mail! Now don’t get me wrong. This did not start out being a tirade against a religion. It is just hard to ignore what is happening around our world every day that involves this religion to some extent.

We are nearing another election year in the U.S.A. where we will be called on to elect another president. Our current president campaigned on “Change”. The word was in almost every sentence of his campaign rhetoric. Well, many voted for him. Enough voted that he was elected in hopes of a different nation as a result of his administration. Well that is a fact that no one can deny. Our nation has definitely changed, and to a great degree. What was a nation of unity for the most part, and a nation of pride of our country has turned into a nation of no national pride, a nation of disgust for the way this administration has led our country, and the things that we all held dear a few short years ago, have fallen by the wayside or have come under attack in an effort to destroy them.

The way it was….

When we were in school we had a mandatory class called “Americanism Vs. Communism” that we all had to take. In this class, we were taught the ways that a Communist power takes over a nation. It was at a time when Communism was a rising threat to the freedom of the nations of the world. Bent on world domination, Communism was spreading like a plague through Europe. Places like Berlin had become divided cities. Entire countries of people had come under the control of a Socialist Republic!

There were several things that were mentioned as ways that they took over nations. These included indoctrinating the children. One was teaching them at an early age, the lies that the government needed to get them to believe, so that when they were older, they would follow the evil powers of that government. This is being done in our nation. We are teaching our children things that are contrary to honesty and decency and instead they are being taught lies and half truths. Sexual immorality of many kinds is being taught to them as acceptable. Since they believe and respect their teachers, they believe the lies. Now mind you not all teachers believe the lies but most will teach the accepted curriculum rather than lose their jobs! We are changing in this country, the way we teach, the material we teach, and are telling our young people that everything that has been done since the creation of this nation is no longer worth following or believing.

Then they attack religion in its purest form, especially Christianity. Communism and Socialism are philosophies of the Anti-God. The Bible is purported to be fairy tales, and anyone who believes it and who follows Christ are said to be uneducated and stupid. Our schools are turning out thousands of people who have no God but themselves, and who are being taught that their own personal desires and ways of doing things are more important than anyone else’s. They are taught to disrespect those in leadership such as law enforcement, and our military. Our government does not even stand behind our first responders and those who took an oath to help and protect the people. People, we are in a mess in this country, but it is nothing new. It happened in Eurooe and is happening in many other countries around the world right now.

The next thing they do to take over a nation is to disarm the people. Our children are being taught that it is wrong to own weapons. They are being taught that it is no longer necessary to protect yourself by owning a gun, etc. They are being taught that if you own a gun, it should be taken away from you and if you don’t give it up to the government, that you should be imprisoned. This is how they did it in Europe and it is how our government is trying to do it here in America.

Allow me to inject something here for a moment. We were taught to respect those in high office and to pray for them. God’s Word commands this as well as in the Scripture I started with:

It is hard to pray for someone who is leading this nation down a path to destruction, and who has exhibited a total disrespect for the things of God and the Bible, but we are told to do so. Our president has teamed up with nations whose whole purpose and mission these days is to tear this nation down. Years ago, the things this administration is doing and has done would have been considered treason! However, little by little, good things and freedoms are being taken away from us and we let it go on. Were there to be a large scale takeover attempt in this nation, there would certainly be a rebellion, and patriotism would rise and the people would fight it and stop it in its tracks. However, one of the other things we learned in the course we had in school as a way that the evil powers take over a nation is that they do little things. Time and again they are repeated, and the people become frustrated, and stop fighting them and evil men just come in and take over.

The Bible says in Proverbs 29:2: “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn”.

Why do the people mourn? simple. Their way of life is and has been being taken away from them and they are feeling the pain. In a saying that has been attributed to a man by the name of Edmund Burke, it says, “All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing”.

Why would good men do nothing? They become frustrated and tired of fighting against the evil. They succumb to it and give up.

This has gone on long enough for a simple post, so i will stop. I will end this by saying that we need to pray for the leaders of our land and all the lands in planet earth so that there might be peace on earth, and good will toward men! Only God can change hearts and minds, and He can only do it with we are willing to listen. Pray for America and for our leaders!!
